Native to the eastern and southern US, Redbuds are scattered throughout the countryside’s and are one of the first trees to flower in early spring, along with Dogwoods. The PURPLE RAIN WEEPING REDBUD is a beautiful tree, but it requires some attention to thrive. I found that it needs regular watering, especially during dry spells, and occasional pruning to maintain its shape. That said, the effort is worth it for the stunning spring blooms and unique appearance.
